Knit Help
We will provide knit help on issues that have you stumped. For quick and simple help there is no charge, however if your problem involves detailed explanation or pattern reading help that is involved then be prepared to pay a small fee $15 for 10 mins of help. We can offer help between the hours of 10:30 am - 2:00pm, in store Monday to Saturday.
It is best to phone and make an appointment or be prepared to wait or have to come back if the store is busy.
Private Tuition
We are happy to arrange private sessions for 1 - cost is $70.00 an hour. For small groups of 2-4 the cost is $40.00 per person, per hour
Classes
These classes, over a six week period, provide you with basic knitting skills and start you on your knitting journey. If you already have basic skills and wish to continue to develop, choose the Introduction to Knitting 2 class.
What is included: tuition, knitting pattern, yarn, needles, stitch markers, wool needle and an ebook for support when at home.
Introduction to Knitting 1: No skills required! Over three classes, you will learn how to cast on, cast off, knit, purl and read a simple pattern. At the end of the course you will have a pair of fingerless mitts.
Classes will run on Wednesday Jan 17, Jan 24, Jan 31, starting at 6.00pm and finishing at 8.00pm
Introduction to Knitting 2: Some skills are required for this course. It is the natural progression from Introduction to Knitting 1 or for those who wish to progress their basic skills. You must be able to cast on, cast off, knit, purl, and read a simple pattern.
In this class you will learn how to knit in a circle using circular and double pointed needles, decreasing and also expand your pattern reading skills.
Classes will run on Wednesday Feb 7, Feb 14, Feb 21, starting at 6.00pm and finishing at 8.00pm.
Need to know information relating to booking a class
If the minimum class number of 3 is not achieved the class will be cancelled. This decision will be made 3 days out from the class. Monies will be refunded or you can choose to reschedule to the next suitable class or take a gift card for use at a later date.
Once the minimum number has been reached, registration for the class can continue until 24 hours before the class starts.
If you find you have to cancel your class and it is more than 7 days before the first session, you will receive a full refund. If it is between 7 and 3 days you can either receive a store credit or register for another class. If it is within 3 days of the first session, you will not be able to receive a refund or a store credit.
Unfortunately, if you miss a class, there will be no available make-up classes. You will be able to attend the next class 15 minutes ahead of time so that you can be given some individual instruction.
