We have put together some GeoGradient kits for the 2023 Stephen West MKAL.  The kits comprise skeins from our shelves, that provide the gradient of colour as requested for the MKAL. We also provide the following information. We only have one kit of each colour and we will not be able to repeat any of them. Don't miss out!!  Prices will vary due to the yarns used.

Yarn: Fingering weight
Meterage/Yardage: Approximately 1520yds / 1388m total
Color A - 380yds / 347m
Color B - 380yds / 347m
Color C - 380yds / 347m
Color D - 380yds / 347m

This year’s shawl features a gradient of 4 colors of fingering weight yarn, 100g of each color.

It’s important to have a bit of contrast amongst your colors in order to see the details and crisp lines in the fabric. Solid, semi-solid, and lightly speckled fingering weight yarns are all great options for this year’s shawl. Try to avoid using very busy variegated and highly speckled yarns for all of the colors. It’s okay to have some painterly splashes for some of your colors. Think about your 4 colors as a crescendo of color with color A as the lightest color and color D as the darkest color.

Color A - lightest color
Color B - a little bit darker than A
Color C - a little bit darker than B and lighter than D
Color D - darkest color

Needles: US 4 / 3.5mm circular in 40″ / 100cm length or size needed to obtain gauge, 1 spare circular needle the same size or smaller for holding sts OR waste yarn.
Notions: 4 stitch markers, tapestry needle
