Great Southern Yarn uses 100% Australian Merino, with animal welfare, sustainability and ethical values integral in the production of our yarn ranges. Their SRS (Soft Rolled Skin) merino fleece is single origin, sourced from sheep at Mt Bodangora, NSW. SRS Merino is cruelty free and sustainable as its sourced from non-mulesed sheep.
Their blends are sourced from both here in Australia and New Zealand. All of their fibres are sent to New Zealand to be processed. All the plied fibres are a worsted spun yarn. The yarn is non-superwash, allowing for more texture, stitch definition and authentic feel.
The skeins are hand dyed.
