We are pleased to offer Lexington Woolies a range of cormo/alpaca blend in natural/cream. Lexington Woolies is sourced from an sheep/alpaca farm in southern Tasmania - named Lexington. The owners are local farmers who prioritise providing a brand with ethically sourced wool and superior fibre quality. They do this by being a part of the whole farm to yard production process and ensuring responsible, sustainable practices in animal welfare and land management.
Sheep and Alpaca fleece varies in quality depending on the climate, animal management and the genetics of the animal. The Tasmanian climate is unlike any other state in Australia, therefore with their superior breeding program and climate, the Lexington product is unique to the farm.
Fibre Information
The yarn knits up best on a 4.5 - 5.00mm needle. Although you can definitely use a 4.00mm needle. I found the test knit at 4.00mm needle to give a very dense fabric. As all knitters vary in tension, please do a tension swatch.
Fibre: Cormo 50% Alpaca 50%
Meterage: 125-136m per 100g. Meterage of skein is marked on the skein.
Weight: as per selection
Needles: 4.5 - 5.00mm needle.
Care: Hand wash in cold water using wool detergent. Rinse in cold water, roll in a towel to squeeze out excess water and dry flat.
