Looking for the best option for holding your stitches in times of need.  Use these silicone strings in the following ways, and you may identify other options as well.

Stitch holders: Replace waste yarn or spare needle cables when putting stitches on hold for sleeves, collars, or body sections.

Garment fitting: Allow you to slip your work onto flexible cords to try on a sweater or top-down garment.

Lifelines and transfers: Help clear needles for a new project or insert lifelines easily.

What our tin holds:

We have put together a set of 5 strings of various colours and three toggles for keeping the strings together.

Sold as a set of five strings (3x 150cm to accomodate up to 2.00-9.00mm needles and 2 x 75cm to accommodate up to 2 -5mm needles)  You may choose to cut them into smaller lengths it all depends on what you knit the most and how you will use them.

How to use:

Attach: Firmly press the open, hollow end of the silicone cord about 1 cm onto the tip of your knitting needle. Give it a gentle tug to check that it is firmly on.
Transfer: Slowly slide your stitches from the needle onto the flexible cord.
Secure: Once stitches are on the cord, you can secure the ends with the toggle included in the tin or tie the ends in a loose knot or leave them resting
Remove: Pop the cord off the needle tip gently with your fingertip or nail (like a champagne cork) rather than pulling hard, which protects your yarn and stitches.
Reverse the process when you want to put the stitches back onto a needle.
