Knit Help
We will provide knit help on issues that have you stumped. For quick and simple help there is no charge, however if your problem involves detailed explanation or pattern reading help that is involved then be prepared to pay a small fee $15 for 10 mins of help.

It is best to phone and make an appointment or be prepared to wait or have to come back. We may only have one staff member on and they will also need to service customers whilst offering you knitting help.

Conditions relating to booking a class
In consideration of our teachers' schedules, if a class has too few sign ups, we will consider canceling the class and will let enrolled students know right away if we do. In this instance class attendees will be provided with a credit to use when the class is next scheduled or offered a refund. On the other hand, if spots are available in a class, anyone can sign up until 24 hours before the class starts..
If you find you have to cancel your class and it is more than 7 days before the first session, you will receive a full refund. If it is 7 to 2 days (48 hours) before the first session, you can either receive a store credit or register for another class. If it is within 48 hours before the first session, you will not be able to receive a refund or a store credit. Unfortunately, if you miss a class, there are no available make up classes.

10 Stitch Blanket (Set of 3 Lessons )
3 x 2hr sessions. Learn how to knit the 10 stitch blanket and explore how to plan your colours.
Skill level intermediary - you need to be able to knit, purl, pick up a stitch and understand basic stitch abbreviations. This is not a learn to knit class.
Bring Pen and notepaper, 8 ply scrap yarn 50g, 4.00mm needles, scissors, tape measure. The yarn is for practising the technique or you can wing it and bring the yarn and needles you wish to knit your blanket in.

Learn to Knit
$180 (set of 4 x 2 hour classes) minimum of 2 people required for class to run. At the end of the classes you will be able to cast on, cast off, knit, purl. Complete a dishcloth or two, understand needles, yarn types and tension, read a basic pattern. Price includes yarn, needles and lesson notes. Bring. Self and pen.

Beginner Sock Class $180 (set of 4 x 2 hour lessons) Learn to knit a sock - 8 ply bed sock using dpn needles At the end of the class you will be able to turn a heel, pick up stitches, do the kitchener stitch. You will be ready to move onto 4 ply socks!

Toe Up Socks $170 (set of 3 x 2 hour lessons) Learn to knit a sock - 8 ply bed sock using dpn needles At the end of the class you will have a pair of socks learnt a cast on technique for toe up socks, created a heel, and have a sock that fits perfectly. You will be ready to move onto 4 ply socks!

Intermediate Sock Class ($180 set of 4 x 2hr lessons)
(Set of 4 x 2hr Lessons ) 180.00 Knit a pair of simple cable socks in a 4 ply using the magic loop or 2 x 60cm cables. This class will explore how to work out what size to knit your sock, regardless of the wool and needles used. Price includes a ball of sock yarn and needles, sock patterns and lesson notes. You will need to bring a tapestry needle, 4 stitch markers (one of these should be different to the others). Pen and notepaper, scissors, tape measure.

Learn to Crochet $180 (set of 4 classes)
In these classes learn about Crochet - needles, yarn types, tension, chain, turning, joining, crocheting straight or in the round and the basic stitches of crochet.
Learn to crochet book supplied (Crochet 101), you will need to supply needle and yarn.

Cast on Techniques $60.00
Learn 5 techniques for casting on and when best to use them. Long tail cast on, Tubular cast on, Channel Island cast on, Knit cast on, crochet needle cast on
Bring Pen and notepaper, ball of 8 ply yarn, 4.00mm needles, 3.5 or 4.00 mm crochet hook, scissors, tape measure.

Lace Knitting - Mistral Shawl $150 (Set of 4 Lessons over 2 months times decided as we progress through pattern) This class is based on the Mistral shawl pattern. You need to be a knitter, confident in your skills and able to knit a garment. You will learn how to read a lace pattern and chart, a provisional cast on, use circular needles, and a number of knitting techniques to create a lace pattern.
Bring: Approximately 800m of yarn of lace weight yarn. Suggested yarns Madelinetosh Priarie, Malabrigo Lace, Malabrigo Silkalpaca Lace, Jenmark Alpaca 2ply. You may have something in your stash that you wish to use. 1 x 3.75mm 80cm circular needle or needle size to obtain gauge, approximately 20g of scrap 2 or 4 ply yarn, Stitchmarkers (quantity to be confirmed), pen, notepad

Cables – Cable Handwarmers 6:00 - 8:00pm ($120 set of 3 lessons) Learn how to knit cables whilst creating a lovely pair of handwarmers. You will need just under 100g of 8 ply yarn, set of 4.5mm needles for circular knitting (read this information to inform your choice), cable needle, tapestry needle, 2 stitch markers. Circular Knitting, Cowl 6:00 -8:00pm ( $80.00 for 2x 2 hour lessons) Learn to use circular needles, and at the same time do some textured work, using two colours, and eyelets and how to read a pattern. 1 x 4.00mm 60cm circular needle, or a set of 20cm DPN’s, 2 skeins of Malabrigo Rios in colours of your choice, stitch marker, scissors, pen for note taking.

Tunisan Crochet $150 (Set of 4 Lessons times decided as we progress through pattern) Learn to Tunisian Crochet, at the end of the classes you will
- have an understanding of choosing hooks and yarn for Tunisian crochet projects.
- Basic technique including Tunisian simple stitch, Tunisian knit stitch, Tunisian purl stitch, increases, and decreases.
- A guide to complex Tunisian crochet stitches including lace, texture, and cable stitches.
- Completed a project of your choosing from offered pattern sets.

Top Down Jumper $180.00 (4 x2hr lessons ) Knit a Jumper using the top down technique. In this class you will also master knitting with circular needles and reading a pattern. You will be knitting using at least a 10 ply yarn. Yarn and pattern supplied.

Sock Anatomy and customising your sock fit
at the end of the classes you will understand sock construction, be able to custom size a sock, have templates to record family sock sizing, no knititing in the class, this is a theory module.
